It is Monday morning. Tom goes to school and walks into his classroom. Mr. Green is in the room. He points to the blackboard and says, "Please open your book to page twelve." Tom listens carefully and opens his book. Then he sees his rubber is not in his pencil case. "Sorry," he says to Mr. Green, "I can't find my rubber." Mr. Green smiles and says, "Don't worry." Just then, a parrot flies in through the open window. The parrot lands on the door and makes a loud noise. Everyone laughs. Tom quickly closes the window so the parrot cannot come near the blackboard. Next, Mr. Green asks Tom to come to the front. "Listen to me," he says. Tom nods and stands close to the desk. After that, the class goes on. Tom feels happy because his friend gives him a new rubber. Finally, the bell rings. Tom opens the door and walks out. He looks back at the window and smiles. It is going to be a good day at school.
今天是星期一的早上。汤姆去学校，走进了他的教室。格林先生在房间里。他指着黑板说：“请把书翻到第十二页。”汤姆认真听讲，打开了书。接着他发现橡皮不在文具盒里。“对不起，”他对格林先生说，“我找不到我的橡皮了。”
格林先生笑了笑说：“别担心。”就在这时，一只鹦鹉从开着的窗户飞了进来。鹦鹉落在门上，发出很大的声音。大家都笑了。汤姆赶紧关上窗户，这样鹦鹉就不能靠近黑板了。
接着，格林先生叫汤姆到前面来。“听我说，”他说。汤姆点点头，站得离桌子很近。之后，课程继续进行。汤姆很高兴，因为他的朋友给了他一块新橡皮。
最后，铃声响了。汤姆打开门走了出去。他回头看了看窗户，笑了。这将会是在学校美好的一天。
